Manolo Blahnik launches handbag range
FG_AUTHORS: Who Can Cut It?
The good news is Manolo Blahnik has finally launched his first range of handbags, the bad news is they cost twice the price of a pair of his shoes.
The debut capsule collection includes six clutch bags, which all come in a range of colours, with prices ranging from £1,320 to £1,480.
“Every woman needs a jewel. Something very special and beautiful,” said Blahnik.
“There is nothing more stunning than a feminine hand holding a gem-like object.”
The clutches are made in opulent satins and crepe de chine with leather interiors and are decorated with sparkly accessories composed of Swarovski crystals.
The collection sees a rainbow of satin hues form the bases for beautiful Swarovski crystals that form the focal point of the bags, reminiscent of Blahnik’s famous encrusted styles including Hangisi, Nadira, Borlak and Okkato.
The collection will be available at the brand’s London flagship on Old Church Street, Liberty and Harrods.
