Sally Brooks named British Hairdresser of the Year

FG_AUTHORS: Who Can Cut It?

Sally Brooks has been named British Hairdresser of the Year, beating off competition from the likes of Jamie Stevens, Angela Seminara, Errol Douglas and Darren Ambrose.

Brooks, who set up Brooks and Brooks in London, has previously been named London Hairdresser of the Year three times.

Speaking to on her award, Sally said: “Thank you to my team, not only for supporting me but for supporting each other.” She also encouraged her fellow hairdressers to take part in the awards; “I never thought I’d be standing up here accepting this! Especially in front of people I respect so much.”

The HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards 2017, hosted by Cat Deeley, took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel, where the biggest names and the rising stars of the hairdressing industry were celebrated.

The night also saw a range of other winners announced in both regional and specialist categories.
